Frankly, we got tired of the noise. The fashion world is loud—filled with endless trends, confusing claims, and clothes that seem to fall apart after a few washes. We wanted something different. Something quiet, honest, and built to last. So, we started UMAHE. We’re not a massive corporation; we’re a dedicated team based right here in Barcelona, driven by a simple, powerful idea: conscious clothing, designed with precision and respect for the Earth.
For us, this isn’t just a slogan. It’s our daily blueprint. It means every decision, from the first sketch to the final stitch, is made with awareness. Our logo is inspired by Maya, the upper curve of the sacred OM symbol. In ancient wisdom, Maya represents the veil between our everyday perception and true awareness that beautiful, ongoing journey from confusion to clarity, from complexity to understanding.
That’s the journey we’re on with our clothes. We strip away the unnecessary the harsh chemicals, the opaque supply chains, the wasteful practices to reveal something transparent, purposeful, and clean. Our materials aren’t an afterthought. We use natural fibers sourced from a select group of certified suppliers in India and China. Every partner must meet strict international standards like GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and **OEKO-TEX®, ** which ensure ecological and social responsibility from the field onward.
2. The Making:
Our garments are manufactured in certified facilities. We visit them. We know the people. We ensure safe working conditions, fair wages, and respect are non-negotiable. Quality control happens at every single stage—because precision and ethics are two sides of the same coin for us.
3. The Final Details:
True responsibility is in the details. That’s why:
- Our packaging is either recycled or fully compostable.
- We print our labels with plant-based inks.
- You won’t find any plastic in our parcels.
- We actively choose low-carbon shipping and carbon-offset partners to get your order to you.
